Julia's Open House

Dsc00236 Good thing I was not late.  The program will start at 3:30pm and I got home around 3.  I just washed up my face, combed my hair, got the video cam (which was no use at all) then I headed down to Julia's school.  It's their Open House, like a small program for all Grade 6 students who will be graduating this year.  Yes, I will have high school child soon.  Sheesh!  I am actually looking forward to that but whenever I get to think of how I was when I was in high school, I hope she will just skip that and go straight into college.  Hahahah!  Nah ... high school was the best!  But this is not the right time to discuss that ...

Going back, so there I was, inside the school lobby.  Signed-in on their guest list (almost forgot what her section is) and then went straight to the program area.  I tried looking for a "strategic" spot wherein I will have a good view of her to take videos and pictures.  Well I was kinda far from the stage so I maxed the zoom feature of the camera.  It was fun watching the kids perform, some are good and some are so conscious that they move very awkward.  Well, at least they were having fun.  Then when it was their section's turn to perform, I positioned the camera to get a good shot of her.  I was nervous coz I know she doesn't like dancing, well at least when she's alone, but after their dance, I was sooooo proud and happy.  She was smiling when she was dancing and what do you know?  She can dance!  I dunno, it must be the mother in me that did that but I know she was enjoying what she was doing and that made me more happy.  There are things in life that you cannot explain why you're still happy even with all the problems in life.  I just hope Julia will grow up realizing that a lot of people love her and that she becomes a very successful and happy adult.  But for now, I am just going to enjoy my baby girl.

What is it like being a GOU?

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people's confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish
(ouch!), terribly stubborn (sobra na to ah!), and eccentric (minsan lang naman). They care little for wealth (ako daw? are u sure?), yet somehow always seem to have money (jowks lang to, baka may umutang eh). They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

THE METAL DOG Dog_picture_lg_13

Metal Dogs have extremely high standards and expect a lot of themselves and of others. They are loyal and hold a strong outlook about the direction they want their life to take. They choose their friends and causes with care, as they do not plan to ever not support these people and things again. Once they have committed themselves, there is little to no turning back. They are bold, unafraid to disagree out loud about anything they feel is unjust or unfair. Metal Dogs are easily stressed (over stressed pa nga) if a plan does not go accordingly. They find it difficult to relax when there are things to be done.

THE ARIES DOG

These Dogs are self-confident and independent. They won’t settle down too early because there’s too much to do.

Dogs are so easy to get along with and generally have a ton of friends. They are supportive and calming and make exceptional friends. They don’t hold grudges or bear any bad feelings towards anyone who has treated them respectfully and justly (only a few people, hehehe!). Dogs are excellent listeners (kahit i already heard about it for the nth time), offering an ear to anyone in need. They are held in high regard by their friends and are loyal, honest friends.

Dogs like clean residences. Not only straightened-up, but also deep cleaned (yes i am guilty about this). Changed sheets, washed clothes, dusted blinds and wiped down mirrors are only a few of the Dogs weekly chores. His home must be well-organized and easy to navigate all of the time. Dogs want to be comfortable and take luxury in overstuffed pillows, big, cushy couches and oversized recliners. Although they are open-minded, Dogs prefer to stick with traditional décor when decorating a room (anyone for a mustard-colored room?).

Thoughts ....

Im at the 21st floor, gameroom ... Im still waiting for my dad and mom to pick me up.  Cant go home alone (very heavy reason).  Just like last year, it's new year's eve and i feel sad.  Imagine, im the only one right now here in the game room whereas there should be other people here playing either boardgames or foosball or table tennis. In a few hours time, it will be 2006 ... what happened to me?  I really cant tell if it has been a good or bad year, i'm just eager to start 2006 since i have big plans.  It's not like the previous years wherein i was just "thinking " of doing things.  Now, i will make it happen.  I have Julia and Kiefer and that's enough for me to be more determined.  For myself, I dont wanna be sad anymore.  I dont wanna go back to the past coz now I definitely know the past sucks.

Basta ... 2006 ... year of the dog ... my year ... aarf, aarf!

Shaolin kid arises ...

Kiefer's first hair-cut:  When I got home from work (October 4), my eldest kid Julia was motioning something about her hair ... Shaolin_no_hair_5 that it's gone.  I cant understand it from the start but then i remembered that Kiefer's supposed to have his hair shaved after his birthday but since he got sick, my mom decided not to do it yet.  Then when I got what she's trying to tell me, I asked where he is and yes, the shaolin kid was reborn.  Hehehe!  I cant shout or laugh because he was sleeping at that time.  I still could not get over it because he looks so different.  But he still looks soooo cute of course.  Then we taught him something.  Whenever we would say "no more hair", he would touch his head.  Now we just have to wait if my mom's theory is right ...

Kiefer's measles

100_0336 I just like to document this ... cute kse pero nakakaawa si kiefer.  Last September 26 was his first birthday.  We didnt have that much handa ... just prepared some things kse he wont be able to remember naman kung sobrang en grande on his first birthday.

But when we were about to start the celebration, biglang nagka fever.  We thought viral lang but it lasted for 2 days so my mom decided to bring him to the manghihilot and sure enough, meron syang "bali".  But still the fever didn't disappear, on and off pa rin.  Then on the 5th day of his fever, my mom texted me while i was at work saying na "may tigdas si kiefer, lumabas na lahat ngayon".  Grabe!  I called up my mom agad but she assured me it's ok na since the reason why pala kiefer was running high with fever was because of that.  We thought that the red marks on his face were just insect bites, un pala start na ng measles nya.  When I got home, hahahah! Nakakatawa na nakakaawa.  His face was red all over, going down to his neck and chest, tummy and back.  And that was last September 30.  Now, he's ok ... the "spots" are almost gone, some parts na lang. I dunno what happened to his anti-measles shot though.  But i'm glad he's fine now and he didnt have a hard time dealing with that.  He's still the makulit and sobrang likot na baby that he is.

Someone Like You

It's the title of a movie starring Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd.  Basically it's finding someone who you've been ignoring all the time but ends up being the right one.  This is a very nice romantic-comedy movie ... although the person who introduced to me the movie is a horrible person.  Hehehe!  He's actually one of the cows (as you will know what it means later on). The girl in the movie, Jane, is clueless on why her still-engaged-to-another-girl BF Ray dumped her.  Then to top it all, she has no choice but to live with her casual sex-fiend officemate Eddie.  This is when she came up with the "old cow/new cow theory" that men, just like cows (or bull) would mate with cow then he simply dumps her and move on to the next cow.  If you're thinking that bulls can be mislead by bringing in the same cow but just disguising her "scent", you cant fool the darn bull.  Hehehe!  But in the end, Jane found out that the man for her was just under her nose, Eddie, who happens to be an emotional cripple to a T, all the while seething with a bad-boy sexuality and inner sweetness.

I guess what im trying to say is that it will not only take one person for us to find who's really for us.  Those people that we thought would complete us are just plain craps.  We might be ignoring that one person who's destined to take care of us. I dunno if I've been guilty of that.  But I wish I would find my Eddie soon ... Ü

Twas all fun

Philippines_2005_035_4 Just a few weeks ago, I went out with four of my high school friends.  Actually, elementary friends pa pala.  Jean just got home from the US and eversince we graduated from high school, we havent had any communication until recently when our high school batch started having a yahoogroup and I was able to get Jean's email add and from there, we started getting in touch again.  Back then, there were 4, well actually it's supposed to be 5 of us, who were sort of close to each other ... Lisa, Jean, Joseph, Neil and me.  Of course we have other friends aside from ourselves but we have a different kind of "world".  It was fun then ... trying to recall all the naughty things we did.  Imagine, making a teacher cry because she was told to go back to dadiangas (her province), putting stinky, smelly leaves on the teacher's chair, and not to mention trying to get out of school thru the school's concrete gates coz the guard wont let us out.  Now, that was fun.  There was also a time that we were so not praying the "Our Father" right that our religion teacher branded us as "pagans" and she covered our religious sayings on the posters inside our room.  Then when we're late in getting inline to enter the rooms, we would hide from the nuns so that they will not notice that we're late.  Those were the days.  I guess when you're really friends, no matter how old you grow, you would make sure that you still know how you're doing and get in touch as much as possible.  That is when you will know that friends are there always, no matter what.  Twas all fun ...

Today's the day my love is back

Vanness18_3 Monday, May 9.  it's 5pm. i almost forgot my date.  i almost missed him.  so i hurriedly turned off the computer to meet the love of my life.  METEOR GARDEN NA NAMAN!!!  hahahaah!  gosh as in buhay na naman si VANNESS sa buhay ko.  i just passed by megamall when i was on my way home and again, as part of my ritual, i again ogled and was mesmerized by his huge pepsi poster.  if i can only beg sm's owner/s i will ... just to get hold of his poster.  haaayy!  ewan ko ba ... mahal ko na sya.  seryoso.  so there i was ... watching the first episode of meteor garden with him still sporting that long hair that i love.  ay ewan, kahit short na hair nya ngayon, sya pa rin ang nasa puso ko.  i have to let this out ... if not mapapanaginipan ko pa ito eh.  teka, asan na nga ba yung poster, pepsi tumbler and glass nya?  and kahit na ang tabang ng pepsi ice, iinom pa rin ako.  i have to support my howe.  wake up fides!  so anyone there who at least resembles him, please show yourself to me.  i will be the best judge for that.  teka, before i forgot ... musta na kaya honey ko? hehehe ...
