Julia's Open House
Good thing I was not late. The program will start at 3:30pm and I got home around 3. I just washed up my face, combed my hair, got the video cam (which was no use at all) then I headed down to Julia's school. It's their Open House, like a small program for all Grade 6 students who will be graduating this year. Yes, I will have high school child soon. Sheesh! I am actually looking forward to that but whenever I get to think of how I was when I was in high school, I hope she will just skip that and go straight into college. Hahahah! Nah ... high school was the best! But this is not the right time to discuss that ...
Going back, so there I was, inside the school lobby. Signed-in on their guest list (almost forgot what her section is) and then went straight to the program area. I tried looking for a "strategic" spot wherein I will have a good view of her to take videos and pictures. Well I was kinda far from the stage so I maxed the zoom feature of the camera. It was fun watching the kids perform, some are good and some are so conscious that they move very awkward. Well, at least they were having fun. Then when it was their section's turn to perform, I positioned the camera to get a good shot of her. I was nervous coz I know she doesn't like dancing, well at least when she's alone, but after their dance, I was sooooo proud and happy. She was smiling when she was dancing and what do you know? She can dance! I dunno, it must be the mother in me that did that but I know she was enjoying what she was doing and that made me more happy. There are things in life that you cannot explain why you're still happy even with all the problems in life. I just hope Julia will grow up realizing that a lot of people love her and that she becomes a very successful and happy adult. But for now, I am just going to enjoy my baby girl.
